ANNULMENT OF MARRIAGE
Annulment is the invalidation of a marriage. The parties
are treated as if they were never married.
- Grounds for Annulment:
- 1. Incapacity due to Age
- 2. Incapacity due to Mental Capacity (i.e., mental illness or on
drugs or alcohol)
- 3. Impotency
- 4. Fraud
- 5. Duress
- 6. Prior Valid Marriage Still in Existence

- The courts typically attempt to return the parties to their premarital
condition after an annulment.
