ANNULMENT OF MARRIAGE

Annulment is the invalidation of a marriage.  The parties are treated as if they were never married. 

Grounds for Annulment:
1.  Incapacity due to Age
2.  Incapacity due to Mental Capacity (i.e., mental illness or on drugs or alcohol)
3.  Impotency
4.  Fraud
5.  Duress
6.  Prior Valid Marriage Still in Existence
 
Alimony and Property Settlement:
The courts typically attempt to return the parties to their premarital condition after an annulment.
